Pep Rally 2013

     Last September 19 2013, Brent International School Baguio held its annual Pep Rally with three houses - Blue, Red and Yellow. As part of the Blue house, I really learned to appreciate it and enjoy it. The practices began on the month of August. It was interrupted with different weather conditions and so, there were lesser time for us to practice. Despite that, all the teams really did great. Although the Blue house was not able to garner the first place, I think that does not really matter. I do think that all of the Blue house members exerted their full effort as I also tried to do my best to make it succeed. Through this activity, I learned a lot from it. I learned how to enjoy the event itself. This year's Pep Rally was all new for me because it was my first activity here in Brent. Yet, it was really fun as expected. Through the practices, I got the chance to know more people, to be more responsible in everything I do and to unite as a team. I also got disappointed with the result somehow but I believe all of us learned how to accept it as well. I learned that I cannot always expect a victory all throughout my life. There would always be failures but it would be a good ground for me to improve.

     One thing that I regret is that I did not participate in the dance of the Blue house. I always thought that I cannot dance and so, I decided not to take part in it. However, I know that I was wrong. I should have took the courage to take the new challenge. Because of that, I want to challenge myself in the next activities that would come. I would take the courage to actively engage myself in different activities and learn to treasure every moment, whether it is good or bad.
