Pep Rally 2014

          Last September 17, 2014, our school held its annual Pep Rally. This year, I was fortunate to take the responsibility of being the House Leader for Blue House. I was really honored and happy to be handling that responsibility. However, I knew that it wouldn't be easy to handle those responsibilities.

          When we started to plan out for the Pep Rally 2014, we even had a hard time in deciding the theme for the year. After several suggestions and discussions, we decided to go for 'High School Musical'. When the theme was decided, we began to prepare for the Pep Rally in detail. One of the most difficult was the choreographing of the dance. As I have mentioned in my other reflections, I am really afraid to dance because I believe that I am not good at dancing. Aside from the ballet lessons that I took, I did not really have the experience of dancing. However, we, the house leaders, had to choreograph the dances this year. This was really challenging for me because I had no idea what to do and how it should be done but with the help of other house leaders, this was really a fun process.

          Although Blue House was not able to win this Pep Rally, I am still happy that we had a good entrance, good dance and the cooperation of the house. It was really a stressful activity but it was fun in the end. The House leaders all ended up crying for our loss but I know that this was because we had put in so much effort into it. In the end, I am still happy that we enjoyed it and I was able to participate actively in the Pepe Rally. Unlike last year that I avoided to participate in the dance, I believe that this Pep Rally was something that I would not regret. I know that I have worked well with my other house leaders and the house members, faced the challenges and fears of dancing and even learned how to manage a big group.
